I could use a nap.

Oops. Has it been 2 weeks? I really didn’t mean for it to be so long. I’ve been absolutely exhausted the last couple of weeks. Some mornings I don’t even have the energy to take a shower, let alone update my blog. I’m trying to get my act together for the state fair though. I’m dropping off my entries this Friday. I’ve got one more project on my needles. Here’s something I finished this week.

handspun shawl

Behold- my handspun shawl.

handspun shawl

This is a Simple Yet Effective Shawl. If you’re keeping track, this is the 3rd shawl I’ve knit using this pattern. I am a creature of habit. It’s nice with the fingering weight yarn. Airy and drapey. It’ll make a nice scarf for the fall.

  1. Beautiful! The combo of your colorful handspun and the simple pattern is perfect. Does it feel as yummy as it looks? :)

  2. how much yardage did that require? i keep thinking i need to make me one of these! yours is so beautiful. i have some handspun in my stash…hopefully enough!

  3. Alas, I will just be an observer at this year’s Fair. Nothing to enter this year…again. We will be going out for fun and elephant ears, I hope I see lots of big fancy ribbons on your yarns and knitting!!
Uh, is there a reason you may be so sleepy? :)

  4. Oooooohhhh! It’s gorgeous!

  5. Beautiful shawl!! Your handspun is just tdf!! :)
Wondering if there is a specific little reason you may be needing a nap? :)

  6. I was thinking the same as Vanessa ;)

The shawl is so pretty! I love the colors.

  7. Beautiful shawl!

  8. I saw your stuff at the fair yesterday! It was so neat telling my mom that I knew you ( well…of you) and that I was in your booty club. I’ve had to give it up for awhile for financial reasons but it’s temporary I hope :/
I told the gal at the table that I’m a knitter and she encouraged me strongly to enter stuff next year. She even took down my address so she could send me a postcard :)
