Monday, Monday
I’m planning a big etsy shop update for Monday. I’ve had a lot of requests for my Christmas colorway, so I decided to dye a bunch of it on a few different yarn bases and some roving.
I’ll be listing some other colorways as well. After the etsy shop update, I’ll be listing some brand new colorways for special order. I’m going to be focusing on semi-solids for the next month or two. I like knitting with semi-solid colors this time of year. There’s something very comforting about curling up on the couch with a cup of tea and working on a cabled sock or scarf. Semi-solids are also easier for me to dye, and lets face it- growing a person is starting to take it’s toll on me. I used to be able to dye yarn all day long, but now after 3-4 hours I’m wiped out.
Booty Club Update:
I wanted to get packages out this Friday, but with all of the things I need to get done in the next two days they are going to have to ship on Monday. They are absolutely shipping Monday morning, December 17th. I’ve scheduled the pick up and everything. I think everyone will love this month’s colorway. It’s my favorite so far. I think I say that every month, but this time I really, really mean it!
Should I give the postman a tip since it’s Christmas? I don’t know if they’re allowed to accept tips. Maybe I’ll get him a Starbucks gift card. I love the guy who picks up the Booty Club packages. He’s so nice. He never complains about all the stairs.
NEW CLUB MEMBERSHIPS:
Sign ups will begin at 9 am (Pacific time) on Saturday, December 15th. There are less than 50 spots available, so be quick!
Destash Sale:
Don’t forget to check my shop for destashed goodies. I’ve got yarn and knitting books up now, and I might add a few more items tonight. Thanks to everyone who has helped me destash. My craft room has been condensed to a corner of my bedroom. It’s finally starting to look clean and organized.

If your mailman does a really good job, it is not inappropriate to give him a tip. Some people take for granted the hard work that your postal person does, so if you feel like giving him a tip, he would probably really appreciate it.

I am so in love with that Chrismas colorway. And the semi-solids are gorgeous too. I feel a “yarn accident” coming on. There have been a lot of those lately! I agree, you should be able to tip the postal carrier.

I’m so glad you’re going to be listing some semi-solids for special order. I have so much varigated sock yarn and decided that for the next couple months I’m going to focus on semi solids. I’m happy I’ll be able to get some of yours!
On the mailman front… It’s not in the least bit inappropriate to tip your mailman. At our office, we give the mailman a Christmas card and a tip. He deserves it as he does more for us than just deliver a few pieces of mail each day to us. We’re a much bigger job for him.

I’m fairly certain that they aren’t supposed to accept cash but are allowed to accept a “gift” worth $20 or less, not to exceed $50 in a year. I’ve read that a few places, but can’t find an “official” citation to confirm.
I LOVE that Christmas colorway! Wow!

They had an article in our local paper that said to make sure it’s under $20 or the mailman cannot accept it (has to do with bribing govt officials.) Money is a no no.

Yes, you do say each month that the Booty Club color is your favorite so far, but you don’t disappoint, so it is all good! I will be home for the holidays so I will look for your package! Can’t wait! I am pretty behind on my skeins though, so I need to start knitting them up!

Don’t forget to tell your postal carrier that we all love him too! If it weren’t for him we wouldn’t be getting our yarns!
Roving, huh? Hmmm…

I am married to a postal carrier and tipping is a lovely idea. They are in an industry where they rarely hear feedback unless it is complaint. A tip (and Starbucks cards are great) is a fine idea!!!
Also, I saw the yarn meter on your flickr post. If you are going to sell, and haven’t yet, please post it. I am looking to buy soon and I would just as soon give the money to your fetus (and diaper service) as to someone else.
Peace, Dianne

The Booty Club Yarn came today and it is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE so far! So perfect for the season, and what a match between yarn and colorway. Wow. Just Wow.
I had to go out right away and take a picture of it in the snow in the dark, because it was so beautiful. Then quickly brush the snow off and carry it back inside.
Oooohh!
