Where did the week go?
I can’t believe it’s already Friday. I have been crazy busy this week. Without further ado, here are the colorways available for special order until the end of July.
They are: Sweet Magnolia, Patience, Citron, Cannon Beach, Apple, Pretty Pirate, Rain, and Rosie. You can order any of these colorways by clicking the link at the top of the page that says “shop”. Because these skeins are custom dyed as they are ordered, it could take up to a week for your yarn to be ready. Oh, and these pictures show the yarn all reskeined. As of today that is a thing of the past. I got my new order of yarn today, preskeined in 4 oz skeins. Everything will ship in the non-reskeined form.
I’ve been dyeing lots of roving! I’ve received lots of great feedback on it, including a glowing review from Sarah. Now, I should mention that Sarah and I are friends…her review may be a tad biased. But she is admittedly very picky about roving, and mine passed the test. Just look at these gorgeous singles she spun! That’s my “Koi” colorway on roving, and I love how it came out. I’ve been dyeing up lots of my colorways on roving this week. I have Apple, Sweet Magnolia, Koi, Rosie, Culture Club…maybe a few more too. They’ll be listed on etsy Saturday evening. Probably around 6pm PST. Do those of you on my mailing list want to be notified when I list roving? I haven’t been cause I thought maybe people just want to know when there’s sock yarn. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Mr. Yarn Pirate and I have been working on some of the details for a Yarn Pirate sock yarn club. I will have a little info to leak on Monday, and a poll. Stay tuned for that! I really need your help figuring a few things out.
This weekend is the Washington State Yarn Shop Hop. I am way to busy to participate much in it, but I am headed to Church Mouse Yarn and Teas on Saturday morning with some friends. It’s a lovely ferry ride away, and I’m hoping the weather will be nice. Have a great weekend!

I’m so happy you’ll be doing custom orders - I sure don’t mind waiting to get a skein of a favourite colour :). Really excited about a YP sock club - can’t wait to see more details. Your rovings are absolutely beautiful, I could almost be tempted to take up spinning, but DH would probably expire at the thought of more fibre in our house :)!

I’m cracking up at your Yarn Pirate atomic element graphic, too cute! And the roving looks so great, I wish I could braid like that! I tried and failed miserably…I wish I had long hair to practice on!
And there’s a shop called Church Mouse Yarns on Bainbridge Island? I must go. You know my nickname has been Church mouse for many years??? It’s too bad I didn’t knit last time I was there, cause I was like 2 blocks away from that shop without even knowing it!
