What I made in February
Friday, February 27, 2009
I didn’t finish nearly as many things this month as I did in January. Last month was a fluke. This month I had knitting, spinning, sewing and weaving projects in mind but I only had the time and energy to make a few things.
I’m including my half-finished February Lady Sweater here. This sweater has taken up a good chunk of my crafty time this month. I wanted to finish it in February so badly. I really want to start wearing it! I’m going to try to finish it this weekend. It’s really a fun knit.
So half a sweater and a baby vest. I have a few fun things planned for next month. Wait until you see the yarn!
I was a much more productive spinner this month. I usually spin during H’s morning nap. Most days he takes a 2 hour long morning nap, so I can accomplish a lot of spinning. You can click the picture for more info on the fibers and yarns (I have a sweater to knit after all…). What you see here is 1340 yards of handspun. I’m about 2 skeins shy of a mile. I’m going to try to spin a mile in March. I have a feeling it won’t be too hard- my little Pocket Wheel should be done in a week or so.
Well, that’s it for my projects this month. My loom is warped and ready to go. I want to weave another handspun scarf and then I want to try weaving some dish towels.
So what are you working on next month? Does anyone want to try to spin a mile in March with me?
